Wap-Gateway is a software system that helps WAP-enabled wireless devices
to communicate to Internet web sites and applications. Web sites deliver
pages in special format called Wireless Markup Language (WML) that is
compiled and forwarded by the WAP gateway.
In order to access Internet resources from a WAP-enabled wireless device
you need a WAP gateway service. Wap-Gateway.com provides public services
that works with all compatible WAP browsers. Wap-Gateway.com service
can be used by WAP developers to test their sites.
The Wap Gateway's IP address is 209.160.68.93
(New IP), which can be set in your phone along with the standard
wap port 9200. The port you should use, as well as setup instructions,
vary from phone to phone.
Please note that this gateway does NOT work with all phones. If your
phone uses a standard internet proxy server for mobile web access, typically
indicated by the use of port 80 or 8080, Wap-Gateway.com won't be able
to help you. Wap-Gateway.com also only works with the unencrypted version
of the connectionless (port 9200) and connection oriented (port 9201)
WAP modes. It does not work with the encrypted version (ports 9202 and
9203.)
